Tallac Museum, Gift Shop, and Washoe Exhibit
Come explore our free museum and learn about the area’s history! A short introductory video acquaints visitors with the history of life at Tahoe, and exhibits include a 1920s kitchen, information about the infamous Lucky Baldwin and his family, and a room about the Washoe people.
The Tallac Museum Gift Shop features books, decor, apparel, Lake Tahoe, custom, period-inspired and unique gifts, toys and art that not only celebrates the historic site but also Lake Tahoe and local businesses.
All proceeds of the Tallac Museum Gift Shop helps preserve and maintain the Tallac Historic Site | Pope-Baldwin Estates. The Tallac Museum Gift Shop also serves as the ticket purchase center for all Tours and Programs offered by the Tahoe Heritage Foundation. To purchase products or pre-register for tours and programs available, please call ahead.

Orders from the Tallac Museum Gift Shop can be placed and shipped every day by calling 530-541-5227 May-September and 530-544-7383 October – April. At this time online shopping is not available.
Unique Items for Purchase
Tahoe Heritage Foundation has published several books and created special items such as bookmarks, ornaments, shirts etc for purchase that enhance the public understanding and enjoyment of the Tallac Historic Site. Available at the Tallac Museum Gift Shop May-September and off-season through our Main Office.
Way Station at Tallac Historic Site
Kiosk nestled in the trees along the bike path serving coffee, tea, water, pre-packaged ice-cream treats, snacks and trail bars. Covered picnic seating area available.
